Justine & Jeff’s gorgeous downtown Chicago engagement session is finally here!
Starting things off right: on their first date, the chemistry between them is so perfect, they close down the restaurant, singing Ed Sheeran songs together! (When they tell me this, I realize that I’m photographing the main characters in a movie!) On that date, they felt like they’d known each other for years, and wished they’d met sooner. The two knew ‘this was it’ after that first date.
When the time comes to pop the question, her parents call to see if Jeff and Justine would like to join them for an outdoor dinner at a restaurant in Evanston. This isn’t out of the ordinary, as they spend many weekends with them.
They meet for a walk beforehand at the Evanston Rose Garden, which also isn’t suspicious, since they all love long walks. In the rose garden, Jeff takes her hand. He tells her that being together is the best thing that ever happened to him. He tells her how excited he is for all of their adventures and their future. Then, he takes a knee, and asks Justine if she would “do him the auspicious honor” of spending the rest of her life with him! (Can we talk about what a swoon-worthy proposal this is??)
And that brings us to their beautiful engagement session!
The Windy City holds true to its billowing reputation, and keeps us laughing as our hair whips around. We take a beautiful, late-autumn stroll around the city, starting at the Field Museum. We tour a bit more, and end our session walking along the Alder Planetarium Skyline Walk.
Justine and Jeff just GLOW with those celebrity vibes as the blue waters skate across the cement, and the skyline stands so beautifully behind them.
I am so excited for their gorgeous wedding! Congratulations again, Jeff & Justine! Your romantic downtown Chicago engagement session is such a sweet reflection of your love for each other! I am so happy for you both–to be so sweet and in love!
